The Foxes Golfing Society was founded in 1980 by a group of five friends who were members at Hankley Common Golf Club and who wanted to play at a variety of other top-quality courses in the vicinity. They decided to invite a number of like-minded, fun loving, bon viveurs who also golfed, to join them and by the Spring of 1980 the Founders had created and fully formed the Foxes Golfing Society.

The initial fixture list comprised of West Hill, Sunningdale, Walton Heath and North Hants with Hankley hosting the final golf event of the year early in December which was a Bowmaker competition with generous prizes and tombola prizes, most of which were guaranteed to help the festivities.

The private society has flourished and has toured on a number of occasions. Membership is by invitation only!
